LETTER FROM TARA SWIST, CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR – 4/28/20

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment and update you on Children’s Ministry Happenings. I have been very busy over the last few months connecting with the children, teens families and Children’s Ministry volunteers during this Covid-19 pandemic. As well as, continuing to serve with my husband and sons for our live stream worship services. My thoughts and prayers are that even during this difficult season of life, you are finding the Hope that God provides daily. I encourage you to look for “God-sightings” each day, whether through scripture, music, and encouraging word or my favorite hearing the birds sing as I step outside each morning.  There are blessings everywhere, so keep your eyes, ears and hearts open.

As the leadership of the church continues to “virtually” meet, we ask that you keep us in prayer as we continue to discover new ways to minister through the pandemic. If you know of someone in need, please make sure you call or email the office so we can help. We are beginning discussion of when and how to “reopen” the doors to the church in a safe and discerning way. Please pray for clarity.

Many of you know that planning any event takes lots of time. Plans started last summer for this summer’s “Impact Adventure Camp.” With the uncertainty surrounding us, we will not hold a large group event, instead “Impact Adventure Camp 2 Go” is being planned. This will be an event that families can do throughout the summer on their own schedule. An Impact Adventure Camp 2 Go box, will be provided to each registered family filled with 5-days of CEF Bible-based activities. Bible Lessons on DVD, Music on CD, Art supplies for activities, games and snack ideas, prizes and more. Registrations will begin May 5th, so check the Raymond Baptist Church Website for more information.

Just a reminder about the “Snail-Mail” Club, you can either send back the completed pages and I will send you a new set of activities or take a picture and email it to me at

Tara Swist@raymondbaptistchurch.comcastbiz.net.  If your child, grandchild, friends, neighbors (ages 1 year – 5th grade), would like to participate please contact me by email or by calling 603.895.2859. Also, “Stuck at Home” is on the website with resources for all ages.

I am here for you, so if you or your child needs to talk, please contact the church office or email me directly and I will be happy to spend time with you…from a distance.

Have a blessed day.
