Covid-19 Update (revised 6/25/21)

As we are all aware, this has been a long difficult year for all.  In trying to guide the church through this year we have tried to follow some basic guidelines to help all of us. Early on the Elder Board decided we would follow health guidance as issued by both the CDC and The NH State Department of Health and Safety. We also determined that any guidance we would put forth to the congregation would be governed by Jesus’s own command, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Even though it might be personally inconvenient, we would act to protect the vulnerable around us, to care for them as one would hope they would care for others. Throughout this past year we continued to monitor health guidance, and community transmissions. Because of new guidance now being issued, and the rates of community transmission at the present levels, we are now recommending the following changes to our current policies. Please note that as conditions change, these may again change for the protection of all.

Starting Sunday July 4th for all church activities

  • Masks for asymptomatic people are now at the personal discretion of the individual.
  • Masks are still suggested, as per State guidance, for those in high-risk categories of either catching or transmitting the virus. High risk categories include; non-vaccinated individuals, immunocompromised individuals, and
  • Masks for children are at parents’ discretion. Parents are asked to inform the children or youth leader of your decision for your child.
  • Social distancing is still recommended.
  • Currently no buffet style, or “serve yourself” food service.
  • Currently any food prepared or served must be by vaccinated people.
  • If any case of COVID 19 occurs, the church family will be notified as appropriate.
  • Any guidance is subject to change based upon conditions.

As stated, this has been a long year. As leaders we want to encourage all of us to look ahead and not dwell on past conversations. May we all be respectful to each other and treat each other with great grace as we begin to regather. Throughout this year God has been working in the life of our church. There may be many you may or may not recognize as we return. At our most recent Elders’ meeting, we all expressed an optimism for what God has in store in this new chapter of ministry for all of us. Thank you to all who have prayed and have taken this journey with us.
