Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect on a Sunday morning?
As you walk through the doors of RBC, someone will greet you with a smile and offer you a copy of our weekly bulletin which includes the order of the service, announcements of upcoming programs, and a calendar of events. Make your way into the sanctuary and sit anywhere you like. You may have a person or two welcome you or introduce themselves. But, we will not have visitors stand or be recognized in any way. Relax and enjoy the service.
NOTE: If you prefer to watch from home, you may watch live on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook live, YouTube or watch a recording afterward by clicking “Watch & Listen” on the menu above.

How long will the service last?
You can plan on the service at Raymond Baptist to last a little over an hour.

What should I wear on a Sunday morning?
Whatever makes you comfortable? Some of our folks like the opportunity to dress up a bit on Sundays, while others like to be more comfortable. Come as you are and we’ll just be glad you are here!

Will someone ask me for money?
That’s a fair question… we know the reputation and the perception that churches take a lot of offerings. We will take an offering during the service – it’s how we pay the bills. Plus, we believe it gives us a chance to give a portion back to God. If you are visiting, do not feel compelled to give to the offering. The offering opportunity is for our regular attendees. If you are new to our church, we ask that you consider filling out the bulletin tear-off tab so that we can know you were with us. You can use it to request more info on our church and leave prayer requests. There will also be a nametag in the lobby for you each week so we can get to know you better. Also, stop by the Welcome Center for your Welcome Kit!

What do I do with my children?
You’ll find Raymond Baptist Church to be a family-friendly place. Childcare is available in the nursery for children birth to three years. Please stop by and feel free to look around. When you leave your child in the nursery, you will receive a numbered tag to take with you. After the service is over, only the person who signed your child in will be allowed to retrieve him/her from the nursery. We take your child’s safety and comfort very seriously. Children’s Church is available for 4, 5, & 6 year olds during the message. CLUB 252 for KIDS! (pre-K through 5th grade) is available during the message (Watch for the dismissal slide; then take your children through the double doors. The teacher will meet you in the foyer.) Children’s Activity Kits are also available at the Welcome Center for use during the morning’s service.
