RAYMOND BAPTIST CHURCH NOTES
There will be no Worship Service at RBC on Sunday. Please see the attached Facebook Live directions for Worship Service. Worship Service will be available on Facebook Live, Website and RBC App as well as Channel 22. (This week’s Prayer Requests and Bulletin may be found on the website homepage, and the sermon notes will be available when the sermon is posted Sunday afternoon.) Please note that no one will be allowed access to the Church on Sunday morning except for the people working the service. There are no exceptions to this request.
This week I encourage all, except those directly involved in direct participation in our worship service to take advantage of the on line opportunity to view service. This is to protect those who are vulnerable, and those who would come out of a sense of responsibility who should remain home. We will continue to keep informed as time goes on, but for this week all public worship and programs in the church will be suspended. You may send in your weekly gifts through our church app, or simply mail in your offering if you so desire. Again, these are not normal times and we will continue to monitor and make changes as appropriate. Please be in prayer, and let the office know of those who may be in need, and offer what assistance you can personally, and do so safely. Thanks for everyone’s support during these days

To All Our Prayer Partners: After some discussion, we thought it best if we canceled our RBC weekly Tue. AM prayer for two weeks , just to let this virus settle down.
We will resume Tue. March 31st 8-9 AM for weekly prayer time but all virus pending! So just take some time on your own to Pray for our Church, Town & Nation. If you have any questions, please contact Janet Therrien or Kathy Hassenpflug.
Let the neighbors know that God is on His throne. This way we can all pray together (at the same time) without being together. Jesus said that “Where two or three are gathered there I am in the midst of them.” We are gathering, just not in the same place. “If My people pray” read 1Chronicles 7:14 But along with this we will start praying as a group at 12noon if ALL believers would in your home, in any capacity they are able, and begin to pray we can show the world that God is on HIS Throne and in full control of this entire situation. Do this for 7 days (as Joshua marched around the wall). This is simple and All ages can participate.
BAPTISM: Baptism is that outward sign of our commitment to Christ and what He has done in our lives. If you would like to be baptized, we will be having a time for baptism before the Easter season. For those who are interested please let Pastor Kevin know or contact the church office at 895-2859
Lenten Series: Do I Live Amazed?
3/22/2020: – “I Didn’t See That Coming” Mark 9:2-13 ~ We can be content in our understanding of and following, of Jesus. What happens when our picture of Jesus is changed?
As everyone is aware we are in a difficult and trying time right now. While still remaining safe and well, If there is anyone who would like and can offer help to others, such as checking on people, shopping for someone, preparing a meal, etc. please let me know as I am making a list of people who would like to help in a safe way to others within our Church, families and community. This list will be kept confidential and all efforts would be coordinated through the office. Please let me know how and if you would like to help in some way.
EASTER FLOWERS: Help us to decorate the church for Easter! If you would like to order an Easter flower(s) in remembrance of a loved one, please call or email the Office by March 22nd. If for some reason we are unable to do this all monies will be refunded.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER: We would like to ask you, to pray and seek God’s wisdom to help you remember a time in your life when you struggled with a question, a problem, or a situation. A time when God showed up, spoke to you, and things changed. Then to write a short devotional about it. A sort of a Raymond version of the Daily Bread. Raymond’s’ real people, with real stories and problems, seeking guidance from a real God. We ask you to keep your devotional to under 200 words, contain the scripture that spoke to you, and follow this simple outline: (1) State your situation/problem/question; (2) State how God spoke to you, and the scripture He used; (3) State how this encounter with a living God changed you, your outcome, your actions or your direction. Devotions are due to Marion by April 17th.

SONSHINE COMMUNITY TABLE FAMILY BREAKFAST – April 4th at 8:30am in the Great Room. Please join us. All are welcome (Please check in as the date arrives to check on the status)
SAVE THE DATE! The Landscaping Team needs your help to do Easter/Spring cleaning of the gardens and rake the grounds of the Church on Saturday, April 4th from 8:30am – 11:00am; and Mulching of the gardens on Tuesday, April 7th, Wednesday April 8th Thursday, April 9th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and Friday April 10th 8:00am-10:00am if needed. We do have rakes but bring a rake if you have one. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Hassenpflug or you can contact the Office. Thank you for putting these dates on your calendar! If you only have an hour or so to give, just show up all help is appreciated and welcomed!
MINISTRY CLUSTER MEETING: Please mark your calendars, our next Cluster Meeting will be Wednesday, April 15th at 7pm in the Great Room. A representative from each ministry should be represented. Volunteers and anyone wishing to attend are welcome.
Please be aware that if there are any events happening or being planned that involves children and use of the children’s areas such as the Nursery or Preschool Room, children cannot be left unsupervised and there must be an adult (18+ over) supervising that has had a Background check done by Raymond Baptist Church. We cannot accept a copy of a background check from any other source. It must be done by RBC. For safety and insurance purposes If planning on an event that involves the Nursery, Preschool Room and/or children please make sure that either Tara Swist, Matt Chouinard or the Office is aware of activity(ies) so that we can confirm a background check and add to the schedule accordingly. If you need more information or details please do not hesitate to give the office a call.

We are in a race against time ~ together we can give these Heroes the recognition they deserve.
Rockingham VNA & Hospice will be offering Bereavement Support Groups that meet once a week, for 6 weeks, from April 14th to May 21st, 2020. A Tuesday morning group will be held in Epping from 10:30-12:00 and a Thursday evening group will be held in Exeter from 6:00-7:30. These groups are free to the public. The morning group will meet at the Epping Regional Health Center, 212 Calef Highway in Epping and the evening group will be held at 4 Alumni Drive, in Exeter on the campus of Exeter Hospital. Minimum enrollment is 4 participants. For more information and to register, please call Jane Oldfield-Spearman, MSW, at 603-772-2981. Drop-in grief groups are offered at Epping Regional Health Center on the 3rd Monday of every month from 3-4:30 and at 4 Alumni Drive, Exeter, on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:00pm. RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE: The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive here in the Great Room Friday, April 3rd from 12:00-5:00 p.m. You can register online at http://www.redcrossblood.org. The American Red Cross has a critical need for blood. Right now, blood donations are currently being distributed to hospitals faster than they are coming in. Donations are urgently needed now to help ensure blood types don’t go missing. Please consider giving the gift of life during a critical time of need. TROUBLESHOOTING THE APP: Anyone with an Android phone and have noticed that you cannot get into the current sermons please try the following. Try a hard refresh. While in the app, go to the menu (horizontal bars upper left), and press and hold the refresh icon (circle with arrows bottom left) for 10-12 seconds until a message says it needs a few moments to sync. Give it about 10 minutes to sync, then get out and go back in to the app and this should allow you to get into the current information.

COVID-19 INFORMATION:
Recipe for Hand Sanitizer from Beth Reed-Domingo: The recipe for hand sanitizer is ~ mix 1 part-Aloe Vera Gel to 2 parts-91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol or 190 proof grain alcohol, which is 95% alcohol. Grain alcohol 190 proof is available in Delaware. We did 1/2 cup gel to 1 cup alcohol and it worked well. The gel simply keeps your hands from drying out. I emptied a liquid soap pump and mixed it in there.
To Our Raymond and Surrounding Communities:
As members of our local clergy group we recognize the concerns that many have during these days of uncertainty with the spread of COVID-19. In situations like these, it is the most vulnerable in our midst that will suffer the most. As pastors of local churches, we want our communities to know that as followers and servants of Jesus Christ we are here to offer whatever care and support that we and our ministries are able. We first encourage community members to be on alert and care for those who are vulnerable around you. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself” that means avoid situations where you if sick could pass along your illness to others and provide help and assistance to those who may need it. If you or someone you know needs some extra care that you or others could not provide, please let us know and we will try to assist in obtaining the spiritual or physical care that may be needed. In the early church’s history, when disease would spread throughout the cities, and others would flee, it was Jesus’ church that stayed and helped those in need. We may not be able to address all needs, but we are willing to provide the counsel and help that we can in Christ’s name. Also, if you would like to attend a church service, and are unable you are welcome to watch any of our services on-line until this has passed.

RAYMOND BAPTIST CHURCH NOTES
SCT DINNERS: Due to the concerns over the coronavirus and the fact that the majority of guests that attend SCT dinners are both seniors and people with compromised health; the SCT dinner for next week (Monday 16th) has been cancelled! We will resume SCT when we have a better picture on preserving the safety of our elderly and vulnerable guests and staff. We will keep you all informed as to when they will resume.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY, CONNECTIONS: Due to the rising concerns over the coronavirus and in trying to protect the most vulnerable, the Women’s Ministry has cancelled the March 21st Connections. As a reminder. there will be no Connections in April due to the “Ladies Day Apart.” The Women’s Ministry Connections will resume in May.
BABY BOTTLES: We received the final numbers and The Baby Bottle Benefit for RealOptions Pregnancy Center totaled $2,146.27. Thank you to all who contributed

BOWLING: (All are Welcome) RBC will be holding a Bowling event on March 14th at 4:00pm at Striker’s East in Raymond. Cost will be $5.00 per game/$3.50 for show rental. All are welcome. If you have any questions, please see Becky DeConto or Tami Cole

DEEP FREEZE: First the Youth Group would like to thank all of the people that supported us through prayer and giving. It is always a great time for our youth. I wanted to share that two of our newer students took steps towards a relationship with Christ. There were many great questions asked from students to understand more. Please be in prayer that God would continue to work in the hearts of these students.

COVID-19 INFORMATION
Recipe for Hand Sanitizer from Beth Reed-Domingo: The recipe for hand sanitizer is ~ mix 1 part-Aloe Vera Gel to 2 parts-91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol or 190 proof grain alcohol, which is 95% alcohol. Grain alcohol 190 proof is available in Delaware. We did 1/2 cup gel to 1 cup alcohol and it worked well. The gel simply keeps your hands from drying out. I emptied a liquid soap pump and mixed it in there.
To Our Raymond and Surrounding Communities: As members of our local clergy group we recognize the concerns that many have during these days of uncertainty with the spread of COVID-19. In situations like these, it is the most vulnerable in our midst that will suffer the most. As pastors of local churches, we want our communities to know that as followers and servants of Jesus Christ we are here to offer whatever care and support that we and our ministries are able. We first encourage community members to be on alert and care for those who are vulnerable around you. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself” that means avoid situations where you if sick could pass along your illness to others and provide help and assistance to those who may need it. If you or someone you know needs some extra care that you or others could not provide, please let us know and we will try to assist in obtaining the spiritual or physical care that may be needed. In the early church’s history, when disease would spread throughout the cities, and others would flee, it was Jesus’ church that stayed and helped those in need. We may not be able to address all needs, but we are willing to provide the counsel and help that we can in Christ’s name. Also, if you would like to attend a church service, and are unable you are welcome to watch any of our services on-line until this has passed.

Lenten Series: Do I Live Amazed?
3/8/2020:- “Truth or Dare?” Mark 7:1-23 ~ Truth is hard to hear. Many will go to any extreme to avoid speaking it, or hearing it. Am I prepared to hear truth from God?
PRAYER TIME: Starting on Tuesday, March 10th from 8:00am-9:00am in the Office Classroom. This is open to anyone who wants to come just to Pray. We will be praying for RBC ministries and those involved including any prayer requests from the weekly bulletin. Praying for the Town of Raymond, all the many different offices that incorporates, and we will include prayer for USA with all that leadership. If you have any questions, please see either Kathy Hassenpflug or Janet Therrien.
EASTER FLOWERS: Help us to decorate the church for Easter! If you would like to order an Easter flower(s) in remembrance of a loved one, please complete the form in your bulletin and hand in with payment ($8 each) by March 22nd.

As everyone is well aware, we are still in a severe flu season. There are many who are affected. We have attendees who are especially susceptible- people with compromised immune system, some elderly and our children. While we appreciate everyone’s desire to be in worship and participating in the life of the church, we would ask during this time that we would all use great wisdom with our own health to determine whether we should be around others. If you are ill, or have been ill recently please use good judgment regarding your exposure to others. Hand sanitizer stations are available around the church for your convenience as well. Sunday services are available through Facebook Live and through our church app which is posted early in the week. Videos of service are available on Channel 22 in Raymond. Be in prayer for many who are struggling through this winter season, and thank everyone for watching out for the health of all.
SONSHINE COMMUNITY TABLE FAMILY BREAKFAST – March 7th at 8:30am in the Great Room. Please join us. All are welcome
THE OUTDOOR CLUB: Maple Sugaring Class on Saturday March 7th at 1:00pm in the Great Room. This family friendly event is both fun and educational and is ideal for homeschoolers. The entire process of identifying trees, tapping trees, collection methods, sap storage methods, the boiling process, and the finishing of the sap into syrup will be covered. This will be an outdoor event so please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for the snow level. There will be maple sugar samples and snow cones for all!! Come join the fun and learn the simple but rewarding NH tradition of backyard maple sugaring. Reservations are required either by email at marion@raymondbaptistchurch.com or by calling the office.
BOWLING: (All are Welcome) RBC will be holding a Bowling event on March 14th at 4:00pm at Striker’s East in Raymond. Cost will be $5.00 per game/$3.50 for show rental. All are welcome. If you have any questions, please see Becky DeConto or Tami Cole
WOMEN’S MINISTRY, CONNECTIONS: Connections will be held on Saturday March 21st 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Great Room. Our Guest speaker will be Sandy Courtemanche. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Sandy share her story! Come, and bring a friend! Join us for brunch and fellowship.
NH FISH & GAME TURKEY HUNT MENTORING CLASS March 28th ~ 8:00am – Great Room.
SAVE THE DATE! The Landscaping Team needs your help to do Easter/Spring cleaning of the gardens and rake the grounds of the Church on Saturday, April 4th from 8:30am – 11:00am; and Mulching of the gardens on Tuesday, April 7th, Wednesday April 8th Thursday, April 9th from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and Friday April 10th 8:00am-10:00am if needed. We do have rakes but bring a rake if you have one. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Hassenpflug or you can contact the Office. Thank you for putting these dates on your calendar! If you only have an hour or so to give, just show up all help is appreciated and welcomed!
MINISTRY CLUSTER MEETING: Please mark your calendars, our next Cluster Meeting will be Wednesday, April 15th at 7pm in the Great Room. A representative from each ministry should be represented. Volunteers and anyone wishing to attend are welcome.
Please be aware that if there are any events happening or being planned that involves children and use of the children’s areas such as the Nursery or Preschool Room, children cannot be left unsupervised and there must be an adult (18+ over) supervising that has had a Background check done by Raymond Baptist Church. We cannot accept a copy of a background check from any other source. It must be done by RBC. For safety and insurance purposes If planning on an event that involves the Nursery, Preschool Room and/or children please make sure that either Tara Swist, Matt Chouinard or the Office is aware of activity(ies) so that we can confirm a background check and add to the schedule accordingly. If you need more information or details please do not hesitate to give the office a call.

HONOR FLIGHT NEW ENGLAND: If anyone knows of any WWII or Korean War Veterans that have not made the Honor Flight trip yet, please encourage them to apply. We are in a race against time ~ together we can give these Heroes the recognition they deserve.
Rockingham VNA & Hospice will be offering Bereavement Support Groups that meet once a week, for 6 weeks, from April 14th to May 21st, 2020. A Tuesday morning group will be held in Epping from 10:30-12:00 and a Thursday evening group will be held in Exeter from 6:00-7:30. These groups are free to the public. The morning group will meet at the Epping Regional Health Center, 212 Calef Highway in Epping and the evening group will be held at 4 Alumni Drive, in Exeter on the campus of Exeter Hospital. Minimum enrollment is 4 participants. For more information and to register, please call Jane Oldfield-Spearman, MSW, at 603-772-2981. Drop-in grief groups are offered at Epping Regional Health Center on the 3rd Monday of every month from 3-4:30 and at 4 Alumni Drive, Exeter, on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:00pm. RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE: The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive here in the Great Room Friday, April 3rd from 12:00-5:00 p.m. You can register online at http://www.redcrossblood.org. The American Red Cross has a critical need for blood. Right now, blood donations are currently being distributed to hospitals faster than they are coming in. Donations are urgently needed now to help ensure blood types don’t go missing. Please consider giving the gift of life during a critical time of need.
