RAYMOND BAPTIST CHURCH NOTES

Happy New Year

Please Note: Please do not hit Reply, Reply All or add mail recipients to any Emails that come from the Church Office to send to other people.  Only the Emails and email addresses that come directly from the Office are authorized. If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

If you are planning to travel or planning larger gatherings with people outside your immediate household this season, please consider if you should return to live Sunday worship service or wait until after January 3rd. This would be an act of kindness in potentially protecting people who will gather and reflect the current state guidelines. Thank you.

THIS WEEK: 01/03/2021: Communion Sunday ~ “Time for a Do-Over” ~ (2 Corinthians 5:11-17).

NEXT WEEK: “Friends Close, Enemies Closer”

To start our new year together, and in tune with God as a church, we will be holding a week of prayer and fasting the week of January 3rd- January 10th. It is being suggested that for each of us who attend Raymond Baptist that during that week that we each skip one meal, if you are physically able, and spend time in prayer during your normal meal time. Prayer guides will be provided, and more details will follow. After this past year, as a church, we want to be united by God’s spirit, and His purpose for us as we enter the new year together.

We have added 2 new sections to our Weekly Prayer Request.  If you know of anyone in healthcare and/or is a first responder and would like to add their names to the prayer request, please email the office and it will be added.

NEXT WEEK: Third Sunday of Advent- “Searching for a Christmas Surprise”

Dear Church Family:

As we enter this season of the year, we know from experience that this time of year is hard for many. The added burden of life changes that the COVID-19 has brought about has added to that fact. At the church we offer help to those who come looking for assistance, but we can only help those who contact us. In each of our respective communities, in our daily travels, each of us has an opportunity to see people around us who are struggling and may not know what to do.

We would like you to know that if you see/know someone who needs help, the staff at the church would like to help you and provide resources for you to help those you know. Gift cards, resources from our food pantry, and other options are available. Let us know how we can help you show Jesus to those in need this season- or any season by emailing marion@raymondbaptistchurch.com or calling the office at 603-895-2859.divider

YOUTH GROUP:

Youth Group is now in the Ministry Center. Students will be required to wear masks at all times while at Youth Group. Hand sanitizer will also be available at all times. The building will also be fogged every week to kill any possible germs left behind, and protect from Covid.

Schedule: Sunday’s 3:30pm – 5:00pm 5th – 12th Grades

We began Youth Group inside this week. Things went well and all the students complied with the mask use. They were able to go outside because of the warmth and play some games. Sunday we talked about our purpose based off of God’s two greatest commands and how that differs from what the world tells us our purpose should be.

This week we will be discussing our place in the world and why God puts us where we are.

Sunday, November 29th ~ There will be no Youth Group, Happy Thanksgiving

Please Note: We will not be providing snacks at this time. Also surfaces will be wiped down between group movements.

Thank you for your flexibility. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
