RBC Weekly Newsletter (11/19/21)

REMINDER: This Sunday is Thanksgiving Sunday: Each year on Thanksgiving Sunday we ask people to come prepared to publically share how they are grateful for God’s presence in their lives. Please bring a word of praise or thanksgiving to share as part of our morning worship.

THIS WEEK: 11/21/2021: Thanksgiving Sunday” ~ Communion Sunday

NEXT WEEK: 11/28/2021: Advent 2021 “One Lord, One Faith, One Gift” ~ “Gathered with Love”, (Isaiah 40:1-11, John 3:16)

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

The Office will be closed on November 25th and Friday November 26th for the Thanksgiving Holiday and we will be back in the office on Monday, November 29th. If there are any non-urgent issues 11/25-26 they will be addressed when back in office on November 29th.  Thank you and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the office via email or call.

THANKSGIVING SUNDAY OFFERING: This Sunday and next Sunday we ask our members and friends to give above your normal giving for a special Thanksgiving offering. The proceeds of this year’s Thanksgiving offering will go towards Operation Blessing in Portsmouth NH.  Operation Blessing fights poverty by embracing people and families in crisis with compassion, offering hope and healing for changed lives by providing food, clothing and household necessities to those in need; Promoting healthy life choices through targeted community education and outreach programs; Offering a place of hope and dignity for a changed life that comes through faith in Christ. So on Sunday November 21th, and Sunday November 28th please consider making a donation and mark it “Thanksgiving Offering.”

As we head into the Holidays and people are gathering with families and friends, this is just a friendly and loving reminder of our existing Covid-19 Policy at RBC. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe. There has been no change to the existing policy that was sent out and discussed in prior announcements but the Elders wanted to reiterate our policy for everyone to be aware of the current policy and be well informed. So with that being said and in light of current community conditions, we would like to draw your attention again to our current guidelines and that it is highly and respectfully recommended that everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated wear masks for indoor activities in areas of substantial transmission (NH is included in this). We ask that you consider this recommendation for the safety and protection of others around you while participating in services, activities and ministries here at RBC. Thank you.

Please Pray for the Outdoor Club, Les, the volunteers and their upcoming event(s):

We pray especially for those you’ve called into ministry, to be leaders, teachers, discipleship and friends in our church and community. Keep God’s word fresh in their hearts, renewing and refreshing their spirit for their work ahead. May they seek your counsel daily, give them godly wisdom day by day as they tackle their designated ministry work and guide them as they give spiritual guidance to others around them… Amen.

The Outdoor Club is an opportunity to join in with people who enjoy a wide array of outdoor activities and appreciate God’s creation from a front row view! Activities include our popular wild game dinners and cooking classes as well as fishing derbies, hiking, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, and much more. We also conduct NH Hunter Safety Education courses twice per year, and usually have a special event every month.
