HAPPY THANKSGIVING:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

The Office will be closed on November 25th and Friday November 26th for the Thanksgiving Holiday and we will be back in the office on Monday, November 29th. If there are any non-urgent issues 11/25-26 they will be addressed when back in office on November 29th. Thank you and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the office via email or call.

THANKSGIVING SUNDAY OFFERING: This Sunday and next Sunday we ask our members and friends to give above your normal giving for a special Thanksgiving offering. The proceeds of this year’s Thanksgiving offering will go towards Operation Blessing in Portsmouth NH. Operation Blessing fights poverty by embracing people and families in crisis with compassion, offering hope and healing for changed lives by providing food, clothing and household necessities to those in need; Promoting healthy life choices through targeted community education and outreach programs; Offering a place of hope and dignity for a changed life that comes through faith in Christ. So on Sunday November 28th please consider making a donation and mark it “Thanksgiving Offering.”

dividerAs we head into the Holidays and people are gathering with families and friends, this is just a friendly and loving reminder of our existing Covid-19 Policy at RBC. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe. There has been no change to the existing policy that was sent out and discussed in prior announcements but the Elders wanted to reiterate our policy for everyone to be aware of the current policy and be well informed. So with that being said and in light of current community conditions, we would like to draw your attention again to our current guidelines and that it is highly and respectfully recommended that everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated wear masks for indoor activities in areas of substantial transmission (NH is included in this). We ask that you consider this recommendation for the safety and protection of others around you while participating in services, activities and ministries here at RBC. Thank you.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS GROWING!
We are needing to create some additional space for our children’s department to help with the greater diversity of ages that are attending. If there are any books in the current library space that are of interest to you personally, you are invited to take them by December 1st. Cleaning the library space will be part of a comprehensive full sanctuary level interior cleaning going into the winter months. If you haven’t noticed all exteriors of all buildings have already been done and they look great.

THIS WEEK’S MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT ~ Men’s Ministry

(If you would like more information or would like to volunteer in this Ministry please see one of the Ministry Leaders, they would love to talk to you)

We pray especially for those you’ve called into ministry, to be leaders, teachers, discipleship and friends in our church and community. Keep God’s word fresh in their hearts, renewing and refreshing their spirit for their work ahead. May they seek your counsel daily, give them godly wisdom day by day as they tackle their designated ministry work and guide them as they give spiritual guidance to others around them… Amen.

The purpose of the Men’s Ministry is to bring men together to assist them in knowing Jesus Christ and growing in His love, in order to experience a balanced life through His direction.

Creating opportunities for fellowship: We realize that it is often difficult for men to join with other men in fellowship. Our goal is to offer events and activities that help introduce men to other men in an environment that fosters fellowship. We offer events such as fishing trips, breakfasts, baseball games and others to create opportunities for men to invite other men.

Helping Men to grow in Christ: We strive to create times for spiritual growth and fellowship with men by offering prayer dinners and overnight retreats. We invite inspirational speakers to attend our events – men who can encourage and challenge us in our walk with God.

Relationships: The key ingredient of this ministry is relationships – with other men, and with God. We strive to offer opportunities to nurture these relationships.

Investing in men’s need for balance: We look for ways to educate men about the need to balance work, family, and church. We seek this balance in our own lives and earnestly look to each other for help in this important area of a man’s walk with God.

Sponsoring activities that balance our Core Values: We attempt to create functions and events that appeal to one or more of the established core values in our ministry. For example, we attempt to create a breakfast that will meet our goal of reaching out to men while at the same time finding speakers at this event who will appeal to appeal to drawing men closer to God.

Teamwork through work projects

As Iron Sharpens Iron, So One Man Sharpens Another. Proverbs 27:17
