MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Are you new or just want to know more about RBC and membership, what we believe and how things work here or interested in becoming a member? We are coordinating a membership class for the Fall so if anyone is interested, please call, email the Office or Sign up at the Welcome Center.

As we head into Fall and people are returning from Summer activities, this is just a reminder of our existing Covid-19 Policy at RBC. There has been no change to the existing policy that was sent out and discussed in prior announcements but the Elders wanted to reiterate our policy for everyone to be aware of the current policy and be well informed. So with that being said and in light of current community conditions, we would like to draw your attention again to the current guidelines by both the CDC and NHHS that it is highly recommended that everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated wear masks for indoor activities in areas of substantial transmission (NH is included in this). We respectfully request that you consider this recommendation for the safety and protection of others around you while participating in ministries here.” Thank you.

Welcome to New England! It is that time of year again that it could be cold or it could be very warm out at any given time. While we try to maintain the temperature(s) according to the weather and activities for all, the thermostats are set for the season but it could be too cold, too warm or just right for some. If you are a person who tends to get cold or warm quickly we would suggest that when attending service or church activities, please bring a sweater or a jacket if you tend to get cold easily or dress in layers if you get tend to get warm easily. Please do not turn up or down the thermostats if possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

New 603 Dialing System Effective October 24, 2021 A REMINDER THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO DIAL ALL 10 DIGITS TO MAKE PHONES CALLS IN NH.

Effective October 24, 2021, MANDATORY 10-digit local dialing is required for all customer’s in the New Hampshire 603 Area Code.

Why is the local dialing plan changing?

On July 16, 2020, the FCC adopted an Order (FCC 20-100) approving 988 as the 3-digit abbreviated dialing code to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, starting July 16, 2022. Customers must continue to dial 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to reach the Lifeline until July 16, 2022. The Order requires all telecommunications carriers, interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers, and one-way VoIP providers (covered providers) to make any network changes necessary to ensure that users can dial 988 to reach the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by July 16, 2022. For 988 to work in the New Hampshire 603 area code, 10-digit local dialing must first be implemented.

Does this apply to New Hampshire?

Yes. Implementation of this order requires all covered providers to make 10-digit dialing mandatory for all local calls in the entire New Hampshire 603 area code.

Why is 10-digit dialing going to be required in this area code?

The FCC ordered that any area code that has the 988 prefix and has 7-digit local dialing be transitioned to 10-digit local dialing to ensure everyone is able to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline using the 3-digit 988 code.

What will be the new dialing procedure?

To complete local calls, the new dialing procedure requires callers to dial the area code + telephone number. This means that all local calls in the entire 603 area code that are currently dialed with 7-digits will need to be dialed using the area code + telephone number.
